International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) is the world business organisation that speaks with authority on behalf of enterprises in
all sectors in every part of the world. ICC promotes an open
international trade and investment system, and the market economy.
ICC was founded in 1919 and today it groups thousands of member
companies and associations from over 130 countries.
Business leaders and experts drawn from the ICC membership establish
the business stance on broad issues of trade and investment policy
as well as on vital technical and sectoral subjects. These include
financial services, information technologies, telecommunications,
marketing ethics, the environment, transportation, competition law
and intellectual property, among others.

Nigeria became a member of this world body about 20 years ago,
sequel to the realisation of the benefits, which Nigerian business
community could derive from mainstreaming into the international
business community.
ICC Nigeria is a distinct and independent body different from other
Chambers in Nigeria in the sense that it provides the platform for
members to tap international business practices and opportunities
within a broad network of over 130 countries with National
Committees linked with ICC Headquarters in Paris.

between business people, which is independent and impartial.

work closely with Nigeria authorities in all areas related to
business and trade and to address concerns of the business
community to make necessary and effective changes for the benefit
of all.
